The ‘Never-Ending’ Prompt Session

(I say never-ending, but I’m going to see how well this works during the next couple of months and then decide whether I’ll continue with the session or not.)

This is a prompt session with a difference. I love prompts, because they lead to me writing stories I never even would have thought about writing, so every one I get makes me view my worlds in a different way. However prompts can be difficult for some people to come up with, so I’ve previously had a random number session (and I plan on having another in early 2013), and now I’ve come up with something new.

I’m looking for a number of different things. Names; personality traits; disabilities (both visible and invisible); song lyrics; pictures; short prompts (eg. yellow book or midnight lamp); and I may add more things as I think of them. Once I have a number of these I’ll put them into a randomiser, give them all numbers, and use them as a form of self-created bingo challenge. The reason I’m doing this is because I get inspired by lots of different things, I want to write more stories, and I think doing this will make it much more fun.

My plan is to write 500 words for every prompt I receive. For every link posted to this prompt session I’ll write another 500 words for a prompt of the linkers choice and write 500 words for a prompt/previously written story of my choice. If I receive ten prompts I’ll write 1000 words of a prompter’s story and then for every prompt after the tenth I’ll add another 500 words.

If anyone would like more words written for their prompt then they can be purchased using credits or money. 1000 words costs 3 credits, and these words will be available for sponsorship and on the donor filter, or £1.50, and then the words will be posted as soon as they’re written.

As always normal donor perks are available, including access to the donor filter, and there will are session specific prompts. I’m aiming to raise money for a number of things, including food, rent and Christmas presents.

If I get £20 I will post one new piece of bonus material, which will be posted as soon as it is written, chosen by the donor whose donation gets me to this point.
If I get £40 I will write a story of at least 1000 words, which will be posted as soon as it is written, chosen again by the donor whose donation gets me to this point.
If I get £60 I will make all the stories written to prompts into an ebook (or more than one depending on the number of prompts), which will be emailed to everyone who donates and a month after it’s emailed it will be available for everyone to purchase. This may take some time, because of the way the session works.
If I get £80 I’ll write another 500 words for every prompt I receive.
For every £25 after the £100 I will write one more story of at least 1000 words, which will be posted as soon as they’re written.

If I reach £140 I’ll be ecstatic and I’ll post 10,000 new words in the month that follows.

If I get £160 I’ll write another 500 words for every prompt I receive.

If I get £200 I’ll post another four stories of at least 2000 words and post them as soon as they’re written.

If I reach £380 I think I’ll pass out and I’ll triple the word count for the £140 goal, and I’ll write another 1000 words for every prompt I received.

If I go above £380 I’ll add more perks.
